Mactan Rural Bank (Lapu-Lapu City), Inc. is one of the largest rural bank in the Visayas Region. It provides products and services including Lending (business and consumer) and Deposit-taking. Through its ten (10) branches strategically located throughout the region, it can accommodate wide base of clientele to Eastern and Central part of the Visayas Region. The bank’s focus is to bring its products and services available to the countryside and fulfill its mandate as a rural bank.

How We Started?

  • The Beginning

    1994, Mactanbank had secured an approval from Central Bank of the Philippines through its resolution No. 506 authorizing to operate as a Rural Bank.

  • 1998, the previous stockholders sold the entire holdings of the bank to the Yu Family.

  • New Management

    The new management is headed by the family of the late Mr. Ernesto "Asay" Yu.

  • 2008, upon approval of the Banko Sentral ng Pilipinas, the bank was transferred to a better location from Basak-Iba to MYFC Bldg., Patalingjug Avenue, Pajo, Lapu-lapu City.

  • Branch Expansions

    2010, the Bank expanded its operation by opening its door in the north of Cebu by Bogo Branch and in the south by Carcar Branch.

  • The Bank further expanded its operation by opening the following branches: Cebu City, Liloan, Toledo and Moalboal Cebu province.

  • Branch Expansions

    The Bank increase its operation in the Visayas Region by opening Tacloban, Ormoc and Dumaguete City Branches.

  • 2019, the Bank Celebrated its 25th Anniversary.
