Mactan Bank, in partnership with the Ernesto Asay Yu Foundation and with the cooperation of DENR-Cebu City and BUKID Multi-Purpose Cooperative, conducted a bamboo planting activity in Brgy. Sunog, Balamban, Cebu, on August 4, 2024. Over the past two years, the bank has planted 408 bamboo trees, contributing to the restoration of ecosystems, the reduction of carbon emissions, and the mitigation of soil erosion in the area. This initiative marks a significant step toward environmental sustainability. Here’s to planting even more bamboo trees and making a lasting impact!
