Distribution of School Supplies

Mactanbank sponsored distribution of bags and school supplies to identified schools involving a total of 700 student beneficiaries in Cebu and Negros Oriental. This project has been initiated by Mactanbank to help poor beneficiary students in the procurement of their school supply needs in cooperation with its foundation and a sister company, the Ernesto “Asay” Yu Foundation, Inc. (EAYFI).

The distribution of these school supplies is intended to students / pupils from Kindergarten to Grade 6 particularly for those who are less privileged and coming from poor families experiencing financial difficulty in sustaining their daily livelihood. There are a total of seven (7) public elementary schools identified in Cebu and one (1) public elementary school in Ayongon, Negros Oriental.

Each public elementary school has identified one hundred (100) students as beneficiaries of the project. The distribution activity happened in August and September 2019 participated by all Mactanbank branches in Cebu (except Carcar Branch) and its branch in Dumaguete City, spearheaded by its respective Branch Manager and Staff.

Mactanbank is also very grateful for the full cooperation and support of the school teachers and principals concerned, who played instrumental role for the success of the distribution activity. It sounds very fulfilling that we are able to share something to these students, somehow giving them a little reason to smile and feel happy of being beneficiaries of the project.
